In-Class Theory & Practical Evaluation
(Half Day Course)
Attendees: Individuals & Groups
Locations: Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Red Deer
Certification: Basic Fall Arrest (Train-the-Trainer)
Equipment Type: All Aerial Equipment Including: Scissor Lifts, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms & Order Pickers.
Course Length: 8 Hrs
This half day course offers in-house safety trainers an in-class opportunity at your site or at one our facilities (upon request) to become a certified Safety Trainer. The theory portion is focused on the safe use of Basic Fall Arrest systems for mobile equipment operators including order pickers, scissor lifts, boom lifts and similar equipment. Participants will also gain a strong understanding of key safety principles, including:
- Safe and Proper Operation
- Site Assessment including hazard recognition
- Equipment inspections and pre-use assessments
- Safety Equipment & Devices
- Harnesses, lanyards and approved anchor points
- Safe work practices and emergency awareness
The in-class portion is followed by a practical skill testing and competency assessment where future trainers will be asked to show they can not only operate the equipment safely but also conduct the practical portion of operator evaluations themselves.
As a certified trainer you will need training materials. Training Kits can be purchased with the safety training course to ensure you have all the tools required moving forward as a certified safety trainer.
