Parts Technician Job Description

PARTS TECHNICIAN

Description:

  • Ensure continuous quality control on all parts bought and sold
  • Ensure proper company procedures are followed
  • Quote and make sure that quoted jobs are charged out correctly
  • Communicate with service department & obtain parts on a timely basis
  • Bring discrepancies to the attention of local Parts Manager
  • Make sure all paperwork is completed on a timely basis
  • Attend factory and dealership sponsored training sessions
  • Maintain inventory control
  • Work with all suppliers
  • Monitor parts pricing
  • Ensure Service Van’s stock replenished on a timely basis
  • Ensure proper preparation for annual inventory counts
  • Adhere to dealerships Health and Safety policies
  • Co-ordinate the storage and disposal of Warranty parts in conjunction with the Service Dept
  • Initiate and return unwanted parts – recognize non moving stock
  • Ship and receive parts
  • Keep workstation, as well as the parts department, organized
  • Take phone and over the counter parts sales as required

Job Type: Full time
Locations: Red Deer & Lethbridge
Potential Start Date: Immediately
Hours: 8am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Journeymen Ticket (Automotive, Heavy Duty, or Agriculture) an asset
  • Apprenticeship opportunity for the right candidate
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
