This course provides forklift operators an in-class experience at your site for group bookings or at one of our 6 Alberta locations for individuals & small group bookings. The theory portion is focused on gas, propane and diesel forklift safety awareness including;

» Safe and Proper Operation
» Site Assessment
» Equipment Assessment
» Safety Equipment & Devices
» Pedestrian Safety

The in-class portion is followed by a practical skill testing and competency assessment where operators will be asked to show they can operate a forklift safely. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a 'WestMat Certified'  wallet sized operators card. change

Bruce Graham

Experience
• 25+ Years Lift Truck experience.
• 8+ Year of Safety Training experience.

Bruce joined the WestMat team in 1994 working as a journeyman forklift technician. He later advanced to a position in customer service and sales where he remained until 2011 when he took over as WestMat’s lead safety instructor for Northern Alberta including our Edmonton, Red Deer and Grande Prairie safety training courses.

• 20+ Years Lift Truck experience
• 10+ Years Automotive experience
• 20+ Years of Technical Training in both Automotive and Lift Truck industries

Bryan joined the Calgary WestMat team in 2001; prior to that, he worked for over 10 years as an automotive technician and entry level mechanics instructor. Bryan has over 20 year of experience in the forklift industry, both as a service technician and a technical trainer. Bryan brings a broad range of knowledge and experience to our Safety Training team.
